The purpose of the USCAA's Travel Soccer program is to provide our youth the opportunity to play soccer at a higher level of competition than our recreational program. We hope that this level of competition will provide the environment necessary for them to develop as skillful soccer players and to do so in a consistent and uniform manner.
Players in the USCAA in-house soccer program are eligible to participate, as well as players on recognized classic/cup league teams who are current residents of USC.
USCAA participates in the PA West Soccer League beginning at the Under-9 through the Under-19 level for boys and girls,. Tryouts for Travel Soccer occur in May/June, with games played in both a Fall and Spring Season. Registration for Travel Soccer Tryouts should be done on-line through the USCAA website.
A Travel Soccer season typically consists of two separate (Fall and Spring) eight games seasons and the potential for at least one tournament. Training in the Fall season is coordinated with the recreational soccer training schedule and usually consists of one additional night of training for the participant’s Travel team. USCAA offers group training sessions in both the Fall and Spring seasons. Group trainings are provided by outside organizations that specialize in soccer skill development training.
Games for Travel soccer participants require travel to other communities. Travel can be as far away as Harrisburg to the East, Erie to the North and Fairmont, WV to the South, but it does not require any overnight hotel stays for league games.
All participants and their families must be willing and able to meet the travel requirements for their respective teams.
